Immersion Experience Proposal

identification and Description of Population: In this 2-3 page paper, you must establish your rationale (make a case) for your immersion event. Your proposal must briefly identify the population you will be studying; this will require a brief literature research. Explain how this cultural group is different from you and how this experience will increase your personal cultural responsiveness and your professional cultural competency. Your proposal should include information such as: what you were told about this group as you were growing up,  the beliefs/perceptions/ assumptions/biases you have about this group,  what your perceptions of this group are at this point in life,  and any present/past encounters with people within this cultural group. Talk about why you have an interest in this group and how you are different from those of this cultural group. Please state all the cultural descriptors you can identify – the instructors should not have to guess how you are culturally different from those of the culture group in which you will be immersing yourself.APA format should be used.
